Is it Possible for Ibrahim (Prophet’s son) to Become a Prophet?

Question:

A Qadiani says that if the Prophetﷻ ’s son Ibrahim had lived, he would have been a Prophetﷻ . So Prophetﷻ hood after Muhammad (peace be upon him) is possible.

Answer:

They quote a hadith claiming that if Ibrahim had lived long, he would have been a Prophetﷻ .

We say this hadith is weak.

In its chain is Ibrahim ibn Uthman, known as Abu Shaiba. He is extremely weak. Many scholars criticized him.

Imam Ahmad said he is weak. Bukhari said he is unknown. Tirmidhi said his hadith is rejected. Others said his narrations should be abandoned. Some even suspected him of lying.

Only one comment praised him for being a good judge in court. But that does not make him reliable in hadith transmission. This same narrator appears in the weak hadith claiming the Prophetﷻ  prayed 20 rak‘ahs in Taraweeh — and that narration is also rejected because of him.

So this hadith about Ibrahim becoming a Prophetﷻ  is weak without doubt.

The Qadianis use it to justify Mirza Ghulam Ahmad claiming Prophetﷻ hood.

We debated them in 1994. Nine days of debate. Three topics:

  1. Is Mirza Ghulam Ahmad a Prophetﷻ ?
  2. Finality of Prophetﷻ hood.
  3. Did Isa (Jesus) die?

Full debates are available online.

We asked them:

Mirza wrote that Musa (Moses) did not die and is alive in heaven. Show proof. They could not.

He wrote that plague would come at the time of the Messiah and that it is in the Qur’an. Show proof. They could not. He wrote that a voice from the sky would announce him as Mahdi and that this is in Bukhari. Show proof. It is not in Bukhari.

He claimed Allahﷻ  spoke to him, saying, “You are like My son.” This resembles Christian doctrine.

He wrote contradictory things: Those who reject him are not disbelievers. Elsewhere he wrote they are disbelievers.

He claimed he became Allahﷻ  — that God entered into him — and that he created the heavens and man from clay.

He cursed someone a thousand times in writing, numbering each curse individually.

Is this the behavior of a Prophetﷻ ?

He wrote that Isa’s grave is in Palestine. Elsewhere he wrote it is in Kashmir. Elsewhere he wrote Isa is in heaven. Elsewhere he said believing Isa will descend is shirk.

He claimed revelation came to him in English but with grammatical errors — and excused it by saying revelation comes fast, so mistakes happen.

Is Allahﷻ ’s revelation mistaken?

These are all documented in his own books.

So when Qadianis use a weak hadith to say Prophetﷻ hood continues, we expose these contradictions.

Ask them to answer these questions. Even after 31 years, they cannot.

I told you already — you can even cut those portions from the video and ask him directly:
“What is your answer to this? What is your answer to this?”

Ask them.

They will run away.
They won’t come near.
They won’t answer.

So here is a liar, an immoral fellow, a mentally unstable man — and they are calling him a Prophetﷻ . First prove that with evidence. Only after proving it can you say he is a Prophetﷻ . Instead, they try to hold his feet and defend him. Shouldn’t they feel ashamed and bow their heads?

Now finally I will mention one more important matter.

I have said many things. I selected only 13 points from that video. If I were to say everything, there would be much more. This was just a selection.

The Incident of Muhammad Begum

There was a woman named Muhammad Begum.
Mirza Ghulam wanted to marry her — even though he already had wives.

He personally desired her. He thought she was attractive, had personality, and wanted to marry her.

But her family refused. They said they would not give her in marriage to him. Instead, they married her to Sultan Muhammad.

Now what did Mirza Ghulam say?

He claimed Allahﷻ  had revealed to him that Muhammad Begum had been given to him in marriage by Allahﷻ . That is how he justified asking for her.

But her family married her to Sultan Muhammad.

Then Mirza Ghulam wrote (in Aina-e-Kamalat-e-Islam, page 325):

If Sultan Muhammad marries her, he will die within 30 months. After his death and after her waiting period (iddah), I will marry Muhammad Begum. If this does not happen, it will be proof that I am a liar.

What happened?

Mirza Ghulam died first.

Sultan Muhammad lived a long married life with Muhammad Begum. He died only after Mirza.

Mirza himself declared:
“If this does not happen, I am a liar.”

It did not happen.

So by his own words, he proved himself a liar.

This is not something I said publicly behind their backs. I asked this directly in front of Qadiani leaders — face to face. They could not answer. They stuttered.

So, what are you doing now? The man himself gave the proof that he is a liar.

Hidden Books

He had a book called Haqiqat-ul-Wahi and Barahin-e-Ahmadiyya. These are not easily available. They don’t give these books to just anyone. Only after someone becomes deeply indoctrinated for many years will they give them the book.

Why? Because if you read it, you will discover his ramblings.

Look at the Qur’an — we give it openly to everyone: believers, disbelievers, atheists, Christians. That is how revelation should be.

But they hide their so-called “revelation.”

We went and obtained those books through effort, even traveling to Kerala to collect hidden copies. Then we questioned them directly using their own books — not quoting loosely but showing the printed text.

Finality of Prophetﷻ hood

We debated three topics in 1994:

  1. Is Mirza Ghulam Ahmad a Prophetﷻ ?
  2. Can a Prophetﷻ  come after Muhammad (peace be upon him)?
  3. Did Isa (Jesus) die?

In those debates we gave extensive evidence.

Allahﷻ  says in the Qur’an that Muhammad (peace be upon him) was sent to all humanity.

He is “Mercy to the worlds.” He is the Seal of the Prophetﷻ s.

The Prophetﷻ  said: The Prophetﷻ s of Bani Israel were succeeded by Prophetﷻ s — whenever one died, another came. But after me, there will be no Prophetﷻ  — only Caliphs.

Why would another Prophetﷻ  come now?

In previous nations, revelation was altered, hidden, distorted. So another Prophetﷻ  would come to correct it.

But now?

The Qur’an is preserved. Allahﷻ  promised to protect it.

Even Hadith sciences filtered out fabrications.

So, what is left for a new Prophetﷻ  to bring? What will he say? The Qur’an already exists. Mirza followed Hanafi Fiqh. If he were a Prophetﷻ , why follow a madhhab? Why not bring new revelation about prayer and law?

Islam is complete and preserved. Therefore, Prophetﷻ hood is sealed.

About Rashad Khalifa

Now another example: Rashad Khalifa.

He claimed to be a messenger. He said he discovered a hidden mathematical code of 19 in the Qur’an.

He based this on Surah 74:30: “Over it are nineteen.”

The context clearly speaks about Hell and its nineteen angels.

But he claimed: “Over it” refers to the Qur’an, and the number 19 is a mathematical structure underlying the Qur’an.

He said:

  •       The Qur’an has 114 surahs. 114 is divisible by 19.
  •       Bismillah appears 114 times.
  •       Initial letters (Alif-Lam-Meem, Ya-Seen, etc.) follow a 19 pattern.
  •       Every letter count fits 19 multiples.

But he lied.

He produced tables listing letter counts per verse — but when you count them, the numbers don’t match.

For example:

In Surah Qaf, he said the letter Qaf appears 57 times (57 is 19×3). That one happens to be true.

But in many other examples:

  •       Letters do NOT match multiples of 19.
  •       He manipulates which letters to include.
  •       Sometimes counts only certain letters.
  •       Sometimes combines letters.
  •       Sometimes adds numbers artificially.

For example, in Ha-Meem-Ain-Seen-Qaf, he counts only Qaf and ignores the rest.

If all letters were part of the structure, each should follow the pattern. But they don’t.

He selectively presents data.

We documented all these false counts in detailed articles.

The Abjad Numerology Trick

He used Jewish “Abjad” numerology — assigning numbers to Arabic letters.

This is not Islamic revelation. It is borrowed numerology. He calculated his name “Rashad Khalifa” numerically. Then added verse numbers to manipulate totals until they became divisible by 19.

If it didn’t divide, he would add 5. Or add 119. Or adjust something else until it worked.

This is not divine proof — this is manipulation.

Eventually he was assassinated. Both Mirza Ghulam Ahmad and Rashad Khalifa were not Prophetﷻ s. They were confused, deluded men. Yet followers see them as geniuses because they present something “new.”

If a number divides by 19, what does that prove? Does that guide humanity? Does that establish law? Does it bring moral reform?

Any large number can be divisible by many numbers. That proves nothing.

Conclusion

Mirza Ghulam Ahmad is not a Prophetﷻ . Rashad Khalifa is not a messenger.

Muhammad (peace be upon him) is the final Prophetﷻ .

Allahﷻ  sent Prophetﷻ s when revelation was altered. Now the Qur’an is preserved and protected. There is no need for another Prophetﷻ . Anyone claiming Prophetﷻ hood now — is false.

That is certain beyond doubt.

Closing Explanation (Narrator)

Assalamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu.

Dear brothers and sisters,

A man named Rashad Khalifa claimed Prophetﷻ hood and spread propaganda.

We must understand:

Allahﷻ  sent many Prophetﷻ s from Adam (peace be upon him).
But Muhammad (peace be upon him) is the final Prophetﷻ .

Allahﷻ  clearly declares in many verses that he is the last Messenger until the Day of Judgment.

Some may wonder: Wouldn’t it be helpful to have a Prophetﷻ  today, to clarify confusion?

But Prophetﷻ s are sent only when necessary:

  •       When scripture is altered.
  •       When laws are distorted.
  •       When revelation is lost.

Now:

  •       The Qur’an is preserved.
  •       Allahﷻ  promised to protect it.
  •       The Prophetﷻ ’s teachings are preserved through Hadith sciences.

Therefore, the need for a new Prophetﷻ  does not exist. The religion is complete. The message has reached humanity.

There is no reason — and no possibility — for a Prophetﷻ  after Muhammad (peace be upon him).

What is the need for another messenger? There is absolutely no need.

But some people think: “There is no final messenger. If we just claim that we ourselves are the messenger, then among our people we can easily become famous. People will start believing us in large numbers.”

With the intention of creating confusion within Islam, many individuals have claimed, “I am the messenger.” Even during the time of the Prophetﷻ  Muhammad (peace be upon him), and after his death, many people arose claiming Prophetﷻ hood.

One such group that we all know is the Qadiani movement. Their leader claimed, “I am a Prophetﷻ .”

Similarly, in recent times — around 1973 — there was a man named Rashad Khalifa. He claimed that the Noble Qur’an is structured according to the number 19 — that everything in it is contained within the number 19.

Based on this claim, he argued that Allahﷻ  had made him a messenger. He said that Allahﷻ  sent him to clarify the true Islam to the people — that he had been sent as a messenger to explain that the Qur’an is mathematically structured on 19.

This was a false claim that he presented to the people.

The Origin of the “19” Claim

He derived this number 19 from Surah 74, verse 30:

“Over it are nineteen.”

He argued that this 19 refers to the Qur’an itself, and that the entire Qur’an is structured around 19.

He claimed it was his duty — and that Allahﷻ  sent him as a messenger — to explain this.

So we must examine this claim.

He gave certain examples that would make people immediately believe him.

For example:

  •       The Qur’an contains 114 chapters.
  •       114 is divisible by 19.

He said:

  •       There are 113 Bismillahs in the Qur’an (all except Surah Tawbah).
  •       Plus one additional Bismillah in Surah An-Naml.
  •       Total: 114 Bismillahs.
  •       114 is divisible by 19.

When people heard this, they began to think: “So the Qur’an is structured on 19.”

Why did they accept it so easily?

Because they lacked firm conviction that Muhammad (peace be upon him) is the final messenger. As soon as he said “19,” and as soon as he declared himself a messenger, people began believing him. But this is not all.

He made many numerical claims, saying various things are divisible by 19.

The “Allahﷻ ” Count — 2698

He claimed: The word “Allahﷻ ” appears 2,698 times in the Qur’an.

And 2,698 is divisible by 19.

But what did he do?

All his calculations are incorrect. Not a single calculation is accurate.

He wrote a book listing every location where “Allahﷻ ” appears — from page 30 to 63 — listing chapter by chapter and verse by verse. He assumed no one would sit down and verify.

For example:

  •       Surah 25:68 — he said “Allahﷻ ” appears once. But it appears twice.
  •       Surah 40:74 — he said once. It appears twice.
  •       Surah 46:23 — he said twice. It appears once.

If you calculate correctly, 2,698 does not appear.
The number becomes different — and no longer divisible by 19.

The “Raheem” Count — Removing Verses

He then claimed: The word “Raheem” appears 115 times.

But to make it divisible by 19, he removed the last two verses of Surah Tawbah.

Why? Because including them ruins the division by 19. So, he deleted them.

Who are you to remove verses from the Qur’an?

Even if you were a Prophetﷻ , who gave you authority to remove Allahﷻ ’s words?

Scholars of that time refuted him strongly. But still, people followed him.

He reduced 115 to 114 — so that it becomes divisible by 19.

But he forgot something: Every surah begins with: “Bismillah ir-Rahman ir-Raheem”

Each Bismillah contains:

  •       One “Allahﷻ ”
  •       One “Raheem”

He did not count those.

If you include them:

  •       2,698 + 113 = 2,811 Not divisible by 19.
  •       114 “Raheem” + 113 more = 227 not divisible by 19.

Similarly, with “Rahman”:

He said it appears 57 times (57 = 19×3).

But add 113 from Bismillah: Total becomes 170. Not divisible by 19.

Manipulating “Bismi”

He then claimed the word “Bismi” appears 4 times. But he excluded one occurrence in Surah Al-‘Alaq because it had an extra Alif.

Why exclude it? To make the count fit.

Then he performed bizarre calculations: Adding chapter numbers and verse numbers together.

For example:

27:30
27 + 30 = 57

Then adding Bismillah
Then adding chapter 1 verse 1
And so on

Combining everything until the total becomes 114.
Then dividing by 19.

This is absurd arithmetic.

The “Ism” Count

He claimed “Ism” appears 19 times.

But in reality:

  •       “Ism” alone appears 14 times.
  •       With variations (Ismuhu, Al-Ism, Bil-Ismi, etc.) appears 10 more times.

Total = 24.

Not divisible by 19.

Initial Letters (Alif Lam Meem, etc.)

He claimed all initial letters are divisible by 19.

Example:

Surah Qaf (50):
He said the letter Qaf appears 57 times.
57 = 19×3.

But in Surah 42 (Ha Meem ‘Ain Seen Qaf): He only counted Qaf. Ignored the other letters.

If you count the others:

  •       Ha = 51
  •       Meem = 297
  •       ‘Ain = 98
  •       Seen = 53

None are divisible by 19. He only selected what works.

Combining Letters When Convenient

Sometimes he counts letters individually. Sometimes he combines them.

For example:
In one case he says count each letter separately.
In another case he says combine ‘Ain + Seen + Qaf.

When combined properly: Total becomes 208. Not divisible by 19.

So, he adds one extra Seen from Bismillah.
Now 209. Divisible by 19.

First, he excluded Bismillah. Now he includes it. This is manipulation.

Manipulating Noon (Surah 68)

Surah 68 begins with “Noon”.

He said Noon appears 131 times.
Not divisible by 19.

So he added one Noon from Bismillah.
132.

Still not divisible.

Then he wrote Noon in expanded spelling (Noon-Waw-Noon).
Now it becomes 133.

Divisible.

This is fraud.

Manipulating Ya Seen (Surah 36)

He said:  Seen appears 47 times. Not divisible.

Add one from Bismillah.
48.

Still not divisible.

Then combine Ya + Seen.
He claimed total 285. Divisible.

But actual count does not reach 285.

Ha Meem Surahs

In multiple surahs starting with Ha Meem: He added Ha and Meem counts. Added extra letters from Bismillah.
Still did not divide evenly. But he manipulated totals and claimed divisibility.

In every case:
Individual counts fail. Combined counts fail. Only selective manipulation works.

The Abjad (Numerology) Trick

He then used Abjad numerology.

This is not Islamic. It originates from Hebrew numerology.

He assigned numbers to letters:

For example:
Rashad = 505
Khalifa = 725

Total = 1230

Then he added verse numbers. Chapter numbers. Sometimes appended numbers instead of adding.

For example:
Instead of 25 + 25 = 50,
He would write 2525.

Then divide. And claim proof.

This is mental manipulation.

Final Conclusion

Every calculation he made is false. Not one stands under proper verification.

If you want, you can make verses divisible by 18. Or 15. Or 10.

Any number can be forced. This is not divine proof. This is deception.

The Real Meaning of 74:30

If you read Surah 74 from verse 24 onward:

It discusses Hell.
Then: “Over it are nineteen.”

It refers to angels of Hell.
Not to a mathematical structure of the Qur’an.

Final Statement

There is no connection between this man and Islam. There is no connection between his followers and Islam. The Qur’an has no foundational link to the number 19 in the way he claimed. This video is presented so that this knowledge reaches the people.
