A Facebook page called “Iniya Islam” posted a story claiming: Jibreel (peace be upon him) traveled at full speed on four occasions.
First claim:
When Ibrahim (peace be upon him) was thrown into the fire, Jibreel rushed from near the Throne to cool the fire. But what does the Qur’an say?
Surah Al-Anbiya 21:69: “We said, O fire, be coolness and safety for Ibrahim.”
Allahﷻ directly commanded the fire. No mention of Jibreel intervening.
If Allahﷻ says “Be,” it becomes. Why would Allahﷻ need Jibreel to rush?
Second claim:
When Ibrahim was about to sacrifice Ismail, Jibreel rushed to stop him.
But Qur’an 37:104–107 says: “We called out: O Ibrahim! You have fulfilled the vision.”
Allahﷻ Himself called Ibrahim. Allahﷻ provided the ram.
Again, no role for Jibreel mentioned.
Third claim:
When Yusuf (peace be upon him) was thrown into the well, Jibreel rushed and caught him mid-air with his wings.
But Surah Yusuf 12:15 says: “We revealed to him: You will inform them of this matter…”
Allahﷻ revealed directly to Yusuf. Later (12:19), a caravan found him in the well using a bucket.
If Jibreel had caught him mid-air, why did he remain in the well until the caravan arrived?
The Qur’an clearly describes:
- He was thrown into the well.
- He remained there.
- A caravan later retrieved him.
No angel catching him mid-air.
Conclusion on the Fabricated Story
These fabricated tales:
- Diminish Allahﷻ ’s direct power.
- Introduce unnecessary intermediaries.
- Contradict clear Qur’anic text.
Allahﷻ says “Be” and it becomes. He does not need an angel to rush and fix things.
Such stories are fabricated emotional tales used for entertainment, not religion.
Finally, what do they say as the fourth incident?
They say: “O Messenger of Allahﷻ ! During the Battle of Uhud, when your blessed tooth was broken and you were injured, I came for you. Allahﷻ , Subhanahu wa Ta‘ala, did not allow your sacred blood to touch the earth. Before it could fall to the ground, it was caught.”
They claim that when blood was flowing from the Messenger of Allahﷻ (peace be upon him), Jibreel rushed quickly and prevented that blood from touching the ground. They say that if even a drop of his blood had fallen onto the earth, then until the Day the world is destroyed, no grass or plant would ever grow from that land. Therefore, Jibreel rushed at great speed and caught the blood before it touched the earth. They describe it as extremely fast — faster than the time it takes for blood to drip after a wound. In a second, blood would fall down, right? They say he came even faster than that and caught it in his hand, preventing it from touching the ground.
They have constructed such a bundle of fabricated stories. Now, did it really happen like that?
When the Prophetﷻ (peace be upon him) was injured, what happened immediately? He fainted and fell down. If he fainted and fell, what would happen? The blood would continue to flow. If someone collapses unconscious, blood does not stop instantly — it keeps flowing.
It was not that everything was held up before touching the ground.
After that, what happened?
Fathimah (may Allahﷻ be pleased with her) came. She began washing the wound. In Sahih al-Bukhari, Hadith 475, it is mentioned that Fathimah, the daughter of the Messenger of Allahﷻ , washed his wound while blood was still flowing. When water is poured over a wound, normally the bleeding slows. If you have a cut and you place a wet cloth over it, the coolness helps reduce the bleeding. That method existed even in that time.
So, what did she do? She kept pouring water and washing the wound. If you pour water over a bleeding wound, where does the water go? It falls to the ground. The blood was flowing. She poured water. It flowed. She poured again. It flowed again. It was not just one or two drops. It kept flowing.
If water is poured over a wound, how can it not fall to the ground? If he was lying down, how would it not touch the earth? When washing with water, it would certainly fall to the ground.
Yet they claim that not a single drop touched the earth.
How many times was the Prophetﷻ injured? Many times, blood flowed. Did the earth become barren? Allahﷻ says many Prophetﷻ s were killed. In those times, killing meant cutting — blood would have flowed. Did the earth become destroyed because of their blood? At Badr and in many battlefields, many Companions were injured and bled. Did the earth become ruined?
If Allahﷻ truly wanted to prevent blood from falling, could He not have prevented the injury itself? Why allow the wound and then prevent only the blood from falling? What do they think about Allahﷻ ? If Allahﷻ wills something, it happens. That’s it. Even if someone is a Prophetﷻ , he is not Allahﷻ . These incidents show that he is a servant of Allahﷻ .
So, these four incidents they mention — all four are fabrications. All four contradict the Qur’an. All four contradict authentic Hadith. These are fabricated tales spread on Facebook. They are all completely fabricated. So, this is false information.
